Deutsches Zentrum fuer Diabetesforschung (The\u00a0<strong>German Center for Diabetes Research<\/strong> DZD) teadlased on n\u00fc\u00fcd uurinud karrageeni m\u00f5ju inimese soolele ja suhkru ainevahetusele. Nad leidsid n\u00e4iteks peensoole suurenenud l\u00e4bilaskvust, mis on t\u00f5en\u00e4oliselt tingitud soolep\u00f5letikust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toidulisandit karrageeni \u2013 tuntud ka kui E 407 \u2013 kasutatakse toiduainet\u00f6\u00f6stuses emulgaatorina ja paksendajana paljudes valmistoodetes. Seda leidub piimatoodetes, j\u00e4\u00e4tises, \u0161okolaadis, purgisuppides, k\u00fclmutatud toitudes, puljongites jm. Uuringud on n\u00e4idanud, et lisand v\u00f5ib loomadel p\u00f5hjustada kroonilise p\u00f5letikulise soolehaiguse, haavandite ja veresuhkru taseme t\u00f5usu. Siiski polnud teada, milline on karrageeni m\u00f5ju II t\u00fc\u00fcpi diabeedi tekkeriskile inimestel. Seda k\u00fcsimust on n\u00fc\u00fcd uuritud kliinilises uuringus, mida juhtisid DZD teadlased prof. dr. med. Robert Wagner ja prof dr med. Norbert Stefan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Peensoole l\u00e4bilaskvuse suurendamine<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Uuringus anti noortele tervetele meestele, kelle KMI oli alla 30 kg\/m\u00b2 (keskmine KMI 24,5 kg\/m\u00b2), lisaks nende tavap\u00e4rasele dieedile kas karrageeni koguses, mis v\u00f5rdub ligikaudu kahe- kuni kolmekordse USA p\u00e4evaannusega v\u00f5i platseebot. M\u00f5lemat r\u00fchma vaadeldi kahe n\u00e4dala jooksul. Kuigi 20 uuringus osaleja puhul karrageen insuliini toimet oluliselt ei muutnud, n\u00e4itasid andmed, et suurema kehakaaluga osalejatel v\u00e4hendas karrageeni suurem tarbimine insuliini efektiivsust, eriti maksas. Veelgi enam, \u00fclekaalulistel meestel kippusid suurema karrageeni tarbimise korral veres p\u00f5letikumarkerite tase suurenema ja neil ilmnesid p\u00f5letikun\u00e4hud h\u00fcpotalamuses \u2013 ajupiirkonnas, mis vastutab suhkru metabolismi ja s\u00f6\u00f6giisu eest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Karrageeni tervisem\u00f5jude kohta on vaja t\u00e4iendavaid uuringuid<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Meie katsealused olid keskmiselt ilmselt ikka veel liiga terved, et karrageenist saada olulisi metaboolseid toimeid,&#8221; \u00fctleb prof Norbert Stefan. &#8220;Kuid vanematel v\u00f5i \u00fclekaalulistel inimestel v\u00f5ib m\u00f5ju olla tugevam.
